About Chris Rose

Born in Fort Walton Beach, Florida in 1975, and raised in Albuquerque, New Mexico, Chris’s life was forever changed at the age of eleven.  An older brother visiting from out of town showed him a simple magic trick. Chris watched the trick performed repeatedly, but couldn’t figure it out. 

His older brother, being true to the “magicians’ code”, refused to tell him the secret. So, when Chris stumbled across a magic shop, he immediately began saving his allowance until he could afford his first magic trick (a whopping $5.25!)

As other kids were engaging in sports and playing games, Chris was practicing magic diligently. During this time, he refined skills that would help him in his magic career, including developing an avid interest in the 1930’s and the Zoot Suit that would later become his signature character.

Four years later, Chris began working in a magic shop in a local mall and would go on to break all their sales records, earning him a trip to Disney Land. Chris learned that his passion for entertaining could literally take him places!

In 1997, he left New Mexico to attend the Kansas City Art Institute to study design and illustration, developing skills that would serve him in designing his own show. 
Once in Kansas City, he began to perform magic full time. It was also in Kansas City that he learned how to Swing dance, and soon became a swing dance instructor touring Detroit, Chicago, and St. Louis. 

During this tour, Chris’s Zoot Suit character came to life from many different trips and stops. Picking up his hat from Missouri, his suit tailor made in Chicago, the Zoot Suit began to become a fully realized dream Chris had always wanted to integrate into his show. Displaying the same unrelenting passion for delighting audiences as he had back in Albuquerque, he soon became one of the most sought after performers in the Kansas City market.

In March of 2003, eager to be closer to his family, he moved to Phoenix, Arizona.

“I have been very lucky that I found out at a very early age what I wanted to do with my life. I want to entertain people. I have been blessed to be successful in my career and am constantly working all over North America. 

My mission is to touch as many people as I can in a positive way, by bringing a little magic into their lives. I use my show to do just that everyday.”
